“My child started nursery at 6 months old, and as a first time mum this felt really young and horrible to me. I had to get back to work – My expectations were, and are, very high, and I was anxious about this.
Working within the child care profession myself it was really hard to find somewhere that met my expected standards.
I heard of Curious Caterpillars upon recommendation. What Curious Caterpillars offers is small baby group and thus a very personalised setting based on each individual child. Due to this you can really get to know staff, who seem to genuinely enjoy their job and love and care for your child.
Attachment to a small group of nurturing primary carers for children between the years of 0 and 4 is crucial to their development and wellbeing into adulthood. My child has a wonderful attachment to the staff and it makes it easier to leave her and go to work. Especially when you are leaving your child as I am to help other people’s!
Education also seems to be key with all activities having an underlying learning reason, and every child having a development plan.
All children get fresh air once a day, the chef provides healthy food, communication is good, and the settling in period for parents and their babies is sensitive and well
I have called every day since my child started at lunch time to check on her, and no matter how busy, staff have always welcomed this and never made me feel like a pest!!
Thank-you very much Curious Caterpillars you are much appreciated 🙋🏼♀️”

“My eldest daughter has been going to Curious Caterpillars for over 3 years. She is now in the Preschool room and absolutely loves it. She very often doesn’t want to leave when I come to collect her at the end of the day! The staff are friendly, caring and professional. The activities they do in each room are both fun and educational.
My youngest daughter is due to start there in a couple of months and I know that once settled she will thrive there too.
Georgie and the team do a fantastic job. All the staff are genuine and approachable. I would highly recommend this nursery.” – Mrs Wilson, January 2019
“Both our girls are now at Curious Caterpillars and absolutely love it. The staff are incredibly caring, kind, and always take the time to speak with us and update us on how the girls are getting on.
It’s not a big nursery either, I’ve never felt like there are too many children there like at other nurseries we looked at. And it always feels calm and safe.
Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are absolutely fab and well thought out.
I can’t fault it, Georgie and her team do an amazing job. “– Mr R Waite, October 2017
“My daughter has been going to Curious Caterpillars since May. It’s such a tough thing putting your child in the care of someone else but since choosing this nursery I haven’t looked back. From our first visit to the nursery Georgie the manager was so friendly I instantly felt at ease and both myself and my partner felt we didn’t even need to look anywhere else, every single person in the baby room is amazing and each time I pick her up I can see on her face how much she loves being there. I can drop her off in the morning and go to work without another thought, something I never thought would be possible! I shout from the rooftops how brilliant this nursery is. “– Miss Binding, August 2018
“Would highly recommend the nursery to anyone looking. I was the typical worried, guilt ridden first time mum when my little boy started in the baby room. He is a very determined little man and took some time to settle. The staff were so kind and caring with him, they got to know him and were very kind and patient with me too. These days he just loves it there, carries on playing when I arrive at pick up and the team tell me about his day. The way they talk about him really makes me feel that have a true bond. “

‘What a fantastic team of people and wonderful environment! Our little girl started in the baby room at 9 months old and from day one has loved it. She has a great relationship with all staff and especially her care worker Maisey. We couldn’t ask for a better team of loving and caring people to look after our daughter. I’d recommend Curious Caterpillars to anyone who is looking for a compassionate, safe, clean, and fun filled environment’ – Miss Line, January 2019
“My little boy joined Curious Caterpillars when he was only 8 months old, this was quite a significant adjust for him but all the staff handled it so well and he soon settled and he’s absolutely loved it every since. I chose this nursery because of all the ones I looked around this was the only where everyone seemed busy, there was no one stood around looking bored and all the children in all of the rooms looked like they were having so much fun. It was and has always been an incredibly welcoming environment. I know who all of the staff are regardless of whether they have been involved with my child’s care or not, they all know who I am and who my child is, no one is ever too busy to say hello and most importantly I have found the Nursery incredibly supportive not just towards my child but to me as a parent as well! I really can’t recommend Georgie and all the staff more highly!” – Miss Pressman, January 2019
